Initially we ignored this here, and attempted a dialogue over at dcwomenkickingass page via Disqus. Suddenly our comments and those of other contributors and friends of this blog were greeted with a warning that comments were being moderated.
These comments subsequently didn’t appear.
Currently some comments are getting through, and this is welcome, although the reality that previous attempts have failed isn’t encouraging.
Was this cockup or conspiracy? We’ll let you decide.
Yet this isn’t the reason why I post this quote.

The implication is clear - that the success of this new to tumblr blog is because you our followers accept - and or even approve of the “derogatory language about other female characters”
Of course we refute these allegations as untrue - but in the spirit of the ideals Superman and Wonder Woman were created to embody, it is beholden on us to be open and honest about these allegations.

The bottom line is this, those who liked and or reblogged any of these posts also stand accused.
We accept that we’ve used comics to poke fun at the characters involved, but not that any of this was intended to be, or was offensive to the reasonably minded.
We’re been open and honest about this because we genuinely want to create a fun blog that celebrates our favourite characters.
We do this as much for you as we do this for ourselves. So again we remind everyone that we accept ASK and provide an easy to use comment service via Disqus.

But I’m not offended and I’m female; and I ship for Supes and Diana (and sometimes Bruce and Diana). Some of these posts are legit funny. People need to stop taking every little thing out of context. We’re all DCU fans, and there’s plenty of fans out there who don’t give a fuck if you insult their faves. Chill out.
